Yogeswaran combines expertise in Classical South Indian music with openness in adapting his skills to contemporary and European Classical set ups. He is equally home in both disciplines and performed in Europe, USA, China and in many other parts of the world. His performances include the BBC Proms, Glastonbury, Arts and ideas Festival (USA), Spitalfields festival London and Womad. As a sought after soloist in various musical and stage productions he has sung with the BBC Symphony orchestra, Scottish Symphony orchestra, London philharmonic orchestra, The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and many more.
For over 10 years Yogeswaran has performed with The Shout, an a cappella choir who won the Time Out Award for Classical Artist of the Year in 2001. As a long term collaborator of The Shout‘s composer Orlando Gough, Yogeswaran has performed in various other projects. A recent such event was the „Stemmer“ with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra where Yogeswaran performed as a soloist the role of Mahatma Gandhi. This event was part of the celebrations of the Bi centenary of the Norwegian constitution. The musical was presided by His Highness The Crown Prince of Norway. As the lead singer with Dissidenten for the last 20 years, Yogeswaran has played at Glastonbury, Montreux, Rudolstadt and Stuttgart Jazz open. He has also sung for Dissidenten’s “Memory of The Waters” an orchestra musical celebrated the Danube, Europe’s longest running river.
Yogeswaran has won critical acclaim for the performance with his own peace project „Peace for Paradise“ at ‘World of Music Arts and Dance- WOMAD’ festival in Reading and at the Festival of Colours in the Czech Republic. For more information click HERE.
